Jurasic Seascape

Komodo National Marine Park with Komodo and Rinca
being the major islands, is one of Indonesia’s most
popular destination for underwater lovers. The underwater
kaleidoscope is so spectacular. The marine bio-diversity
boasts an unimaginable variety of invertebrates, over
1000 species of fishes and 250 species of corals with
new ones constantly being discovered. The island’
volcanic slopes are covered with flamboyantly coloured
soft corals, sea fans, sea apples, tunicates, anemones,
sponges, featherstars and masses of reef fishes. Discover
a haven for nudibranchs, pigmy, seahorses, rare critters,
scorpionfish, hermit crabs, pipefish, juvenile fish and
tiny frogfish. Magnificent creatures such as giant trevally,
shark and manta rays have never failed to appear at one
dive site or another. Komodo has something to amaze divers
and snorkelers.

Cannibal Rock, Yellow Wall, Mandarin Reef, Manta Alley,
Temple Wall, Batu Canyon, Crynoid Corner, Castle Rock,
Pillarsteen, Tiga Dara, Nusa Kode, Tatawa Besar, Gili
Lawa, etc.

Sumbawa
A
rugged and mountainous terrain island, stretches between
Lombok and Flores islands. The restored old palaces
of the former Sultan of Sumbawa Besar and Sultan of
Bima show traces of the early Islamic penetration in
Sumbawa. Waterbuffalo races and traditional boxing matches
are held at special events and festival times.

Lombok
Lombok
is Bali's eastern neighbor island. An island with un
spoilt beaches, craft villages and rice terraces carved
into landscapes of stunning beauty. The Gili coral islets
surrounding Lombok are an underwater paradise for snorkeling
and diving.

Flores
Discovered by Portuguese explorers in 1512 who named
it capo de Flores or Cape of Flowers. Flores is along
and mountainous island, with astonishing landscapes
rain forests, dramatic volcanoes, deep ravines and picturesque
villages. Ancestral beliefs are still widespread in
remote villages, Flores has great collection in megaliths
and cult houses. Mount kelimutu with its 3 crater lakes
and each lake has different color water, makes kelimutu
on of the world's great natural beauty.

Is
one of the most fascinating island in Nusa Tenggara.
Sumba is source of the famous "ikat" woven fabrics and
the breeding ground for the strong "sandal wood" horses.
The island is also known for its ritual tribal life
and ancient culture, highpeaked thatch roof houses and
giant megalithic tombs. |
